Commercial Property in real sense are those properties which are permanently zoned for commercial use and are characterized by or are committed to traditional commercial uses such as Offices, retail and bulk sales, professional services, consumer services and ware housing of goods etc. In other words a property that is authorized & used for business purpose and is essentially located in an area designated by the concerned authorities as a site to be engaged to commerce activity in the Master-plan.

Cannaught Place, Nehru Place and Bhikaji Cama Place are main areas for pure commercial activity. Apart from these the residential Colonies have local commercial centres comprising of small commercial spaces. Like Safadarjung Enclave Commercial Centre, Panchsheel Community Centre, Vasant Vihar Community Centre, Greater Kailash Comm. Centre etc.

'Industrial Property' are property that are or have been characterized by or are to be committed traditional industrial uses such as processing, manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, treatment or distribution of products and storage of bulk materials. Such properties are located/ demarcated in areas designated for Industrial use only in the Master-plan of Delhi.

Okhla Industrial Estate - Phase I, II & III and Mohan Co-operative Industrial Estate are the only Industrial designated areas in south of Delhi. These areas were prime Industrial hubs at one time but with strict pollution norms coming in force, manufacturing has gone further away and these places have turned into huge Non-commercial office spaces and software development/ Call centers.
